Located on one of the most iconic streets of Marbella's old town, Calle Virgen de los Dolores, this apartment is a remarkable transformation of a compact and characterful space. Originally consisting of just one bedroom, one bathroom, and no kitchen, we reimagined the layout to include two bedrooms, a shared bathroom with integrated laundry area, and an open-plan kitchen seamlessly connected to the living and dining area—forming a single rectangular space that spans the full width of the apartment facing the street.

This project holds special meaning for us, not only because of its location but also for our desire to preserve and reinterpret the traditional Andalusian style. We used natural materials as a neutral base, adding touches of color to evoke the warmth and soul of deep-rooted Andalusia. The ceramic flooring, made up of octagonal tiles and small terracotta-toned squares, pays tribute to the old floors found in traditional Andalusian homes, combining timeless charm with modern practicality.

The windows were replaced while preserving their original color, as a subtle nod to the home's history and the aesthetic of the neighborhood. CASA DOLORES is a celebration of memory, functional design, and the enduring beauty of Mediterranean living.
