Project “Casa Golden” 1&2

Since we created Casa Mó Studio, many things have happened. We are working on several renovation and interior design projects and in this section we would like to tell you about the process of some of these projects.

“Casa Golden” is an apartment from the 90s that has been unoccupied for about 20 years. It is a very large apartment that we are dividing into two homes, completely renovating the entire space and terraces. Although it is an apartment, it has the appearance of a small house and as it is very close to the beach we are going to give it a contemporary Mediterranean style so that the owners feel in contact with the environment of the Costa del Sol even inside the house.

The renovation is quite a challenge because converting a single apartment into two is not an easy task, especially in terms of facilities. But the work before the renovation was not easy either: drawing and distributing the spaces, creating two functional and pleasant apartments.

The first thing we have started working on, is renewing all the electricity and plumbing in both homes, as well as a completely new air conditioning system.

In addition, the bathrooms will have a different layout than the existing. Wall that divides the shower from the rest, suspended toilet, construction sink and built-in shelves, all covered in microcement.

To get that Mediterranean and beachy style we have chosen continuous materials, porcelanic floor in light sand color mixed with microcement walls, built-in headboards with hanging lamps in natural materials such as rattan or raffia.

In the 3Ds that we have made before completing the renovation, you can see the designs of the headboards, arches in the living room, wooden kitchen and the furniture chosen exclusively for this home, using soft and pleasant fabrics, details in natural wood and very bright lighting, cared for to achieve cozy and happy spaces.

We are looking forward to the day of furniture and decoration installation and share here the real photos of the final result. In the meantime we will update this post with photos of the renovation process.

Desde que creamos Casa Mó Studio han pasado muchas cosas. Estamos trabajando en varios proyectos de reforma e interiorismo y en este apartado nos gustaría ir contando el proceso de algunos de estos proyectos.

“Casa Golden” es un apartamento de los años 90 que ha estado desocupado unos 20 años, es un apartamento muy grande que estamos dividiendo en dos viviendas, reformando por completo todo el espacio y terrazas. Aunque se trate de un apartamento, tiene el aspecto de una casita y como está muy cerca de la playa vamos a darle un estilo Mediterráneo contemporáneo para que los propietarios se sientan en contacto con el entorno de la Costa del Sol incluso dentro de casa.

La reforma es todo un reto porque convertir en dos un solo apartamento no es tarea fácil, sobre todo en el tema de instalaciones. Pero tampoco fue fácil el trabajo previo a la reforma: dibujar y distribuir los espacios creando dos apartamentos funcionales y agradables.

Lo primero en lo que hemos empezado a trabajar es en hacer nueva toda la electricidad y fontanería de las dos viviendas, así como sistema de aire acondicionado totalmente nuevo.

Además los baños tendrán una distribución diferente a la actual. Muro de obra que divide la ducha del resto, inodoro empotrado, lavabo de obra y baldas de obra, todo recubierto en microcemento.

Para conseguir ese estilo Mediterráneo y de playa hemos elegido materiales continuos, suelo porcelánico en color arena claro mezclado con algunas paredes en microcemento, cabeceros de obra con lámparas colgantes en materiales naturales como ratán o rafia.

En los 3Ds que hemos realizado antes de terminar la reforma, pueden verse los diseños de cabecero, arcos en el salón, cocina de madera y el mobiliario escogido exclusivamente para esta vivienda, utilizando telas suaves y agradables, detalles en maderas naturales y una iluminación muy cuidada para conseguir espacios acogedores y alegres.

Estamos deseando de que llegue el día de la instalación de mobiliario y decoración y poder compartir por aquí las fotos reales del resultado final. Mientras tanto iremos actualizando este post con fotos del proceso de reforma.
